Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Elyra World account and the data associated with it. Elyra World is published by Elyra World LLC.

Delete From Inside the App

The fastest way is in the app itself:

1. Open Elyra and go to the Profile tab.
2. Scroll to the settings list and tap Delete account, shown in red.
3. Confirm when prompted.

Your account and content are removed right away and you are signed out.

Request Deletion by Email

If you have uninstalled Elyra, can no longer sign in, or would rather we handle it, email support@elyraworld.com from the email address on your account with the subject Account deletion request.

We will confirm you own the account before deleting anything, then complete the deletion and confirm by reply. We aim to respond within 30 days and usually far sooner. Emailing from a different address than the one on the account will slow this down, because we cannot delete an account on an unverified request.

Delete Some Data Without Closing Your Account

You do not have to delete your account to remove things you have shared. From inside Elyra you can delete the following at any time, without asking us:

• Any post you made, along with the comments and reactions on it
• Any Assists board post you created
• Any photo you added to a Link-Up album
• Any comment you left on a Link-Up
• Any Link-Up you created

You can also change or clear your profile photo, bio, city and state, and interests from the Profile tab.

Some things cannot be removed from inside the app. Direct messages are the main example, because a conversation belongs to both people in it. To have those or anything else deleted without closing your account, email support@elyraworld.com from the address on your account with the subject Data deletion request and tell us what you want removed. We will confirm you own the account, delete what we can, and explain anything we are required to keep. We aim to respond within 30 days and usually far sooner.

What Gets Deleted

Deleting your account removes:

• Your login credentials and email address
• Your profile — display name, username, photo, bio, city and state, interests
• Your date of birth and the record of your agreement to our Terms and Privacy Policy
• Your posts, comments, reactions, bookmarks and reposts
• Your direct messages and City Room messages
• Your Assists board posts and responses
• Your Link-Up RSVPs and any photos you added to Link-Up albums
• Every image and video you uploaded, including your profile photo
• Your push notification token, so notifications stop

What May Be Retained

We may keep a limited amount of information after deletion where the law requires it or where we need it to resolve a dispute, enforce our Terms, or keep the community safe — for example a record that a report or enforcement action occurred. Anything retained for these reasons is kept only as long as necessary and is not used to rebuild your profile.

Messages you sent to another member may remain visible in that member's own copy of the conversation, in the same way an email you sent stays in the recipient's inbox. Content you contributed to shared spaces may remain where removing it would alter another member's record of an event.

A Note for Community Moderators

If you are the only remaining moderator, deletion is blocked so the community is never left unmoderated. Contact support@elyraworld.com and we will arrange a handover first.

Exporting Your Data First

Deletion is permanent, so download or save anything you want to keep before you start. If you would like a copy of your data, email support@elyraworld.com before requesting deletion.
