Terms of Service

Welcome to Elyra. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Elyra World LLC (“Elyra,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Elyra mobile application and related services (the “Service”). Please read them carefully.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 17 years old to use the Service. When you create an account, we ask for your date of birth to confirm you meet this requirement. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 17 and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Elyra is a community platform where users can follow updates from the community, participate in a shared feed, join city-based discussion rooms (“City Rooms” / Chapters), send direct messages, post to a community help board (“Assists”), and RSVP to in-person events and experiences (“Link-Ups”). We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
“User Content” means anything you post, upload, or share through the Service, including posts, comments, messages, photos, event information, and Assists listings.
Elyra has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to post, share, or engage in any content or conduct that:
Users who post objectionable content or engage in abusive behavior may have their content removed and their accounts suspended or terminated without notice.
We provide tools for users to keep the community safe:
We use content filtering to prevent objectionable content from being posted, and we review reported content and take action on objectionable content and abusive users, typically within 24 hours. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, review, remove, or restrict any User Content and to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
Elyra offers an optional feature that lets you ask questions about a post using artificial intelligence. When you use it, the post's content, the author's name and role, and your questions are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response, as described in our Privacy Policy. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation, and are provided for general informational purposes only. You should not rely on them as professional, legal, medical, financial, or other advice.
The Assists board lets users post community “needs” or “offerings” (such as help from a barber, photographer, driver, or other service) scoped to a city. Elyra is not a party to any arrangement between users made through the Assists board and does not verify, endorse, or guarantee any user, service, offer, or transaction. Any arrangements, communications, payments, or services between users are solely between those users, at their own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elyra disclaims all liability arising from Assists listings or arrangements.
The Service may facilitate in-person events, meet-ups, and experiences. You attend any in-person event at your own risk. Elyra does not control, and is not responsible for, the conduct of any user or third party at an event. You are responsible for your own safety and for complying with all applicable laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elyra disclaims all liability arising from your participation in any in-person event.
The Service, including its design, features, logos, and content we provide, is owned by Elyra World LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elyra World LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Elyra World LLC from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
